This is an article from one of our latest rides. To see the photos, go to our Photo Gallery. Merritt Island Toy Run - Dec. 2nd Wow, what a ride. We met at the Denny's as planned. We had around 30 bikes for the trip down to Merritt Island. We took the bee-line, and everyone was pretty good about waiting after the toll stops to regroup. We got to the Merritt Square mall around 11:00 and the place was packed. Around 1:30 we finally pulled out for the ride. It took over an hour from the time the first bike pulled out until we did. I heard there were already bikes pulling into the final destination by the time the last bikes were leaving the starting point. Approximately 20,000 bikes total. We didn't dodge any bouncing helmets this time. Although a couple of guys almost got pegged when my wife lost yet another on of my baseball caps..... Coming back into Orlando, Art, Brett, my wife and I stopped at the Ale House for food and pool. A good time was had by all. Hope to see you on the next one... Rob
