Well, we did several things over this past weekend, so I decided to put them all together in this one section and call it the Fall Fun Weekend. The pictures are divided into the separate things we did. First, on Saturday morning, we rode in the Veteran's Day Parade through downtown Orlando. It was very kool....... Even my wife who hates bikes, said she had a great time doing it (and that it was well worth the 2 hours we waited to finally ride).... Then there was the Hooter's Calendar Girl thing we did Saturday night. The calendar girls were there promoting their new 2002 calendar, and through a special deal I hooked up for us, we got pictures of them on our bikes. We had several of our guys show up, and some other bikes too from word of mouth I put out.... Last, there was our 1st Annual Fall Fun Run on Sunday. What an awesome run, on an awesome day, with awesome weather, and an awesome group. We had almost 30 bikes, with a total of 35 people. We met at the Orlando Ale House Sunday morning, and rode out at 10:30. We stopped in Kissimmee to regroup those lost at red lights, and pick up a few more riders. We took 192 All the way to Melbourne, then US-1 down.... We had a nice little riverfront section through Sebastian that was beautiful. We ate lunch at the Disney Vero Beach Resort. The food was good, the place was nice, and the beach was pretty... From there we headed home. I pulled into my garage at 5:45. I hope you like the pictures. Some are better than others. I was doing the old "80 mph, reverse arm, one handed, no looking, picture taking, with a $600 digital camera" technique. Don't try this at home, I am a trained idiot, I mean trained professional.... Overall, the Fall Fun Run was a big hit. We will do 4 "Fun Runs" per year. Fall Fun Run, Winter Fun Run, Spring Fun Run and Summer Fun Run. We are already talking about destinations. We have discussed St. Augustine, Amelia Island and Sanibel Island. We are also talking about a couple overnight ride possibilities, Savannah Georgia and Key West... We will keep you posted. See you all next time, Rob |
