Ocala National Forest Ride - 10-28-01 WOW.... That is the best way to describe this ride. What a beautiful trip, and a beautiful day. We met at the Ale House at around 9:00 am. There were seven of us, including 3 newbies. We left the Ale House at about 9:30 and headed over to Ocoee to pick up another guy (also a newbie). We had 8 bikes total. We did some nice winding backroads all the way up through Tavares, Mount Dora etc. We Stopped at a place on the St. John's river for lunch. Great place, right on the water and the food was great too. We then headed up through the Ocala National Forest. It was beautiful. The weather was a little chilly, but we were all dressed for it, so it felt nice. We came back down into Orlando through Eustis. We stopped at the Ale House on Kirkman for a quick defrosting, and from there we headed home. It was an awesome ride, a definite repeat. While at the Ale House, we met Thurmon Thomas (#34 for the Buffalo Bills) , really nice guy. Be sure to check out the photos in our Photo Gallery. See you at the next ride.
